Through the years of development of Victor as a sculptor, he has followed a traditional road, in which drawing has been the backbone of his work, allowing him the exhaustive study of two-dimensional mediums. Through these mechanics, he has approached Sculpture; where, an essential influence from the Mexican School and European Art has become his trademark.
Victor AmorÕs first period was a study in human figure. In the 90Õs, Victor Amor, start producing more organic pieces, having, Henry Moore, Giacomo Manzu and Eduardo Chillida, as his influences.
At the beginning of the new millennium, the necessity of portrait the wonders of human beings, the needs, the achievements, questions, answers, hopes, dreams, the horror, the beauty, and all that make us humans, make us part of a society, make us part of the world, drive Victor into human figure once again, were his findings of the form that represent the human body as todayÕs perspective, is his daily production.
Victor Amor has exhibited as a solo artist and in groups. Private collections, residences, buildings and others, have Artwork made by him. He is the founder of Amor Studio, Inc. Amor Studio Inc. is directed towards the development of sculpture and its applications within, Fine Art, commercial art, design, and architecture.
Some of the projects Victor Amor has developed include: jewelry (cameos, rings,), theatrical masks; sculptures for: stores (Disney Stores, Universal City Walk, The World of Coca-Cola,), theme parks (Disneyland, Six Flags, Universal Studios,...), TV commercials (Mr. Peanut, Clorox,...), TV programs (Jeopardy); sculpture pieces for floats for parades such as The Tournament of Roses and the Mexican Independence Day at East L.A.; as well as, architectural details for casinos (Paris Casino, Treasure Island, MGM Hotel Casino, ...) and theme parks (DisneyÕs California Adventure).
